2:00-4:00PM -
Preserved
in Platinum
Breathless,
318 Lisgar St. near Bank St.
Donations at door. In 2006, Pride
celebrated a milestone—its 20th anniversary. But the
celebration
almost didn't happen. There was a massive debt load, and little
government funding was available.
But Capital Xtra! Ottawa's GLBT newspaper came to the rescue
and Ottawa had one more reason
to celebrate with pride. The resulting documentary is a loving
portrayal of "Platinum Pride",
the people who made it happen and their advice for the youth
who are the future of our community.
